I am gonna get you, sucka!

One of Lily's trademark features has been her general fearlessness. She lives to jump off of things. I remember watching her run full force at a 2' inflatable ball and jump face first without knowing which direction she would bounce off.

This week, we've veen terrified about things "getting us". Road work is being done on our street and there have been any number of dump trucks, back hoes, bull dozers, etc parked outside of our house. Every morning as we walk to the car, she gets nervous and says "No get me!, No get me!". She was actually scared of it.

Over the weekend, saw 3 deer in someones front yard, and stopped to watch. Again, she curled up and said "It no get me!". Really? Deer? I have seen "When Animals Attack" and even then, a deer attack was underwhelming. Deer are more dangerous when you hit them going 60MPH.

Maybe it's a phase, maybe she saw something TV. Either way, we are avoiding construction sites and petting zoos until further notice.
